15-25 mm Solid Calcium Carbide – 265 L/KG, Custom Drums & Mixed Loads

The 15-25 mm Grade – 265 L/KG

This size is bigger than sand, smaller than a golf ball. It reacts steadily – not too quick, not too slow. Gas yield: 265 L/KG batch after batch. We test every run.

Why 265? Because some processes don’t need the highest number. They need consistency. Steel desulfurization, medium acetylene plants, and certain chemical reactions work perfectly with this grade.

We also produce 1‑4, 4‑7, 7‑15, 25‑50, 50‑80, and 80‑120 mm. All from the same solid calcium carbide base.

One Container – Mix Sizes, Mix Drum Colors

You don’t have to fill a whole container with one size. Mix them. We do it all the time.

Say you want:

• 10 tons of 15-25 mm → Blue drums

• 5 tons of 4-7 mm → Green drums

• 3 tons of 50-80 mm → Black drums

All in one 20' container. Each size gets its own color. Your warehouse team sees blue – they know it’s 15-25 mm for the main line. No confusion.

Stickers fall off in heat or humidity. We paint directly on the drums. Send us a PDF or AI file. We’ll print:

Mixed Drum Weights – 50 kg + 100 kg in the Same Box

Main plant uses 100 kg drums (forklift). Remote site uses 50 kg drums (hand lifting). We load both into one container. Same freight bill. Same paperwork.

Example: 8 tons of 15-25 mm in 100 kg drums + 4 tons of 7-15 mm in 50 kg drums. One shipment.

Loading – 22.5 Tons per Container

Standard 20' container takes 22.5 tons of solid calcium carbide in drums. We strap and brace everything. You get a packing list showing drum count, colors, sizes, and weights.

Storage – Up to 2 Years if Dry

Solid calcium carbide absorbs moisture from the air. That creates acetylene gas – flammable and dangerous.

Rules:

• Keep drums off concrete floors (use pallets).

• Store below 40°C, humidity under 50%.

• Never stack under water pipes or sprinklers.

• Reseal drums immediately after use.

In a dry warehouse, our solid calcium carbide lasts 2 years. In humid coastal areas, use within 12‑18 months.

Safety – Short and Serious

Water + solid calcium carbide = acetylene gas. Acetylene + spark = explosion. Never open a drum in wet weather. Never use water on a spill (use dry sand). If a drum gets wet, evacuate. Don’t move it.

We put warnings on every drum. Train your people.
