Calcium carbide 50-80mm is our large‑lump grade, designed for applications that require a steady, controlled acetylene release. Typical gas yield: 295–305 L/kg. Impurities (phosphine, hydrogen sulfide) are kept to a minimum through our controlled furnace process in Inner Mongolia.
Manufacturing background
We operate our own plant with an annual output of 70,000 tons. Our warehouse is less than 5 km from Tianjin port, allowing fast vessel loading. Every batch of calcium carbide 50-80mm is tested in‑house and sampled by third‑party inspectors upon request. We do not blend or re‑label material from other sources.

Acetylene generation for large‑scale cutting and welding
Desulfurization agent in steelmaking (injected into molten iron)
Raw material for calcium cyanamide and other organic synthesis
Some mining operations still use 50‑80mm for carbide lamps due to its longer burn time
Packing & loading quantity
We offer two UN‑approved steel drum options. Both fit 22.5 metric tons net into one 20' container:

Drums are nitrogen‑sealed, labeled with UN1402, Class 4.3, and moisture warnings.

Drum color – Choose from standard RAL shades (blue, red, yellow, grey, black, green) or send your own sample.
Drum marking – Permanent paint (not stickers) of your company logo, batch number, production date, consignee details, and hazard warnings in local languages.
Mixed particle sizes – Combine calcium carbide 50-80mm with other sizes (2‑4mm, 4‑7mm, 15‑25mm, 25‑50mm, 80‑120mm) in one container. Each size packed and labeled separately.
Mixed drums – 50 kg and 100 kg drums in the same 20' box, palletized and braced according to your instructions.
