Acetylene Calcium Carbide – One Name, Many Jobs. We Customize Every Drums.

You know what acetylene calcium carbide does. It reacts with water to give you acetylene gas – the hottest burning fuel for cutting and welding. But here’s what many suppliers don’t tell you: the particle size changes everything. A size that works perfectly for a portable acetylene lamp will jam a continuous industrial generator. A fine powder that reacts in seconds might be useless for a steel desulfurization lance that needs slower, deeper penetration.

We are a factory in Inner Mongolia. Annual output: 70,000 tons of acetylene calcium carbide. And because we crush and screen everything ourselves, we can give you exactly the granulation you need – from 1 mm fine to 120 mm big lumps. Packed in 50 kg or 100 kg drums, with your choice of drum color and printed markings.

Particle Size & Application – Match the Right Grade to Your Job

Not every size works everywhere. Here is our full range and where our customers use each one.

All grades deliver 300 L/KG gas yield. We test each batch. You get a certificate with your shipment.

Packaging – You Choose Drum Size, Color, and Markings

We pack our acetylene calcium carbide in steel drums. Two weights available:

• 50 kg drums – 450 drums per 20' container (22.5 tons)

• 100 kg drums – 225 drums per 20' container (22.5 tons)

Why two sizes? 50 kg drums are easier for manual handling. 100 kg drums mean fewer drums to store and dispose. You pick what fits your warehouse.

Drum colors: 11 RAL shades. Assign a different color to each particle size. Example: 7‑15 mm in blue drums, 25‑50 mm in red drums, 50‑80 mm in black drums. Your forklift driver sees the color and knows the size immediately.

Printed markings (no stickers): We paint directly on the drums. Your logo, product name, size, gas yield, net weight, batch number, “DANGER: Reacts with water”, UN1402, destination port. We have printed in Thai, Arabic, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, and Indonesian.

Mixed Containers – Different Sizes, One Shipment

You don’t need a full container of a single size. Tell us: “I want 8 tons of 7‑15 mm, 8 tons of 25‑50 mm, and 4 tons of 50‑80 mm.” We pack each size into its own drum color, load everything into one 20' container, and send you one packing list.

You pay one freight bill. You clear customs once. Your warehouse receives one delivery. That’s how smart buyers purchase acetylene calcium carbide.

Storage – Simple Rules for Long Life

Keep drums off concrete floors (use pallets). Store below 40°C, humidity under 50%. Away from water pipes. Reseal after each use. In a dry warehouse, our acetylene calcium carbide lasts 2 years. In humid coastal areas, use within 18 months.

Safety – Short and Serious

Water + acetylene calcium carbide = acetylene gas. Acetylene + spark = explosion. Never open a drum in wet weather. Never use water on a spill – dry sand only. If a drum gets wet, evacuate. Do not move it.
