One container can hold both 50 kg drums and 100 kg drums. Example: 15 tons in 100 kg drums (150 drums) plus 5 tons in 50 kg drums (100 drums). Total 20 tons. We brace them separately, mark each pallet, and give you a detailed packing list.
Why would you want this? Maybe your main plant uses 100 kg drums, but your remote site has no forklift – only two workers who can safely lift 50 kg. Same shipment, same delivery, no second freight bill.
A buyer in Nigeria contacted us last year. He needed 50-80 mm (black drums) for his main acetylene plant, 15-25 mm (white drums) for a steel desulfurization trial, and 1-4 mm (yellow drums) for a small chemical line. Rules for your warehouse:
Never store drums where water pipes can leak.
Never open a drum in humid or rainy conditions.
Never use water to clean a spill – use dry sand or an inert powder.
Train every worker who touches our drums.
We put warnings on every drum. But you are responsible for safe handling.
If you keep our drums sealed, off concrete floors (use pallets), in a dry, cool warehouse (below 40°C, humidity under 60%), our calcium carbide stays good for two full years. We’ve had customers in dry inland regions open drums after 24 months and still get 293+ L/KG.
In humid coastal areas, use within 12-18 months. Or add dehumidifiers.
