Calcium Carbide, Built Your Way – Sizes, Colors, Marks, Mixed Loads
Calcium carbide is simple: add water, get acetylene. But your process isn't generic. A steel desulfurization lance needs fast gas release. A continuous-feed chemical reactor needs steady bubbling. An old acetylene generator might choke on fine granules.

That’s why a serious calcium carbide supplier lets you choose – down to the last detail.
We are based in Inner Mongolia, shipping from Tianjin port (our warehouse is less than 5 km from the docks). Annual output: 70,000 tons, 60% exported to over 45 countries. We produce every particle size from 1 mm to 120 mm, with tested gas yields:
-
1–4 mm → 270 L/kg (chemical synthesis)
-
4–7 mm → 275 L/kg (fine feed screws)
-
7–15 mm → 280 L/kg (general industrial)
-
15–25 mm → 285 L/kg (steel desulfurization)
-
25–50 mm → 290 L/kg (medium acetylene plants)
-
50–80 mm → 295 L/kg (heavy production – our flagship)
-
80–120 mm → 300 L/kg (slow-release, lamps)

Your size, your mix
No calcium carbide supplier should force one size per container. We don’t. Need 10 tons of 50–80 mm, 5 tons of 25–50 mm, and 3 tons of 4–7 mm in one 20' box? Done. Separately packed, clearly labeled. No extra charge for splitting.
Drum colors that work
Warehouse workers shouldn’t read tiny labels. We offer 11 RAL colors – or match your own. Black = main line, red = trial batches, purple = export only. One Vietnamese client uses purple drums so his team never opens them for domestic use. A flexible calcium carbide supplier doesn’t charge extra for color changes. Send a RAL code or a sample.
Your markings, permanent
We print directly on drums – no stickers. Include: your logo, “Calcium Carbide” in English + local language (Thai, Arabic, Spanish, etc.), net weight (50 kg or 100 kg), batch number, UN1402, Class 4.3 diamond, “DANGER: Reacts with water.” Send a PDF; we print before filling.

Mixed drum weights in one container
Most suppliers refuse to mix 50 kg and 100 kg drums. We say yes. Example: 15 tons in 100 kg drums plus 5 tons in 50 kg drums – same container, same delivery. Perfect when your main plant has a forklift but your remote site doesn’t.
Real customer example
A buyer in Nigeria needed 50–80 mm (black drums) for his main acetylene plant, 15–25 mm (white) for a trial, and 1–4 mm (yellow) for a chemical line. He also wanted his logo in green and “Keep Dry” in English and Hausa. One container, 18 tons. He later said: “I’ve never had a calcium carbide supplier that actually listens.”

Safety & storage
Calcium carbide explodes on water contact – acetylene builds pressure, one spark and it’s a disaster. Keep drums off concrete, below 40°C, humidity under 60%. Never use water on a spill – use dry sand. Sealed drums store up to two years. In humid coastal areas, use within 12–18 months.
Certificates
We are not a backyard operation. ISO 9001, SGS, BV, REACH, full SDS, GHS labels. If your port needs Intertek, TÜV, or Cotecna – just tell us. We’ve shipped to Indonesia, Poland, Brazil, Egypt, and many more.

Bottom line
A good calcium carbide supplier doesn’t just deliver product. It delivers the right product – right size, right color, right markings, right mix.
